This hefty Battery Box fits John Deere A (sn 584000-end) & G (sn 26000-end) .  It is an exact replacement of the original, which holds 2- 6volt batteries in a series connection, or roomy enough to accommodate a larger, high amperage 12 volt battery. The metal frame of the box is stamped  with a depression to accomodate the rear work light,  just like the original. Replaces John Deere Part #AA4841R and AA4941R  (Primed in Black) Made in Iowa.
