The original trip rope holder was produced by John Deere - John Deere Parts DA2768A.   However, John Deere dropped the product due to lack of sales, mostly due to poor advertising and the Depression years. Can you imagine a farmer being catapulted from his seat when an implement became unhitched with the trip rope tied to the seat? This Spring steel and brass trip rope holder installs easily in any seat with holes. Just drop the brass lug through any hole and reinstall the spring steel clip.  Spring tension safely holds the trip rope.
